SALEM, VA--For the second time in as many weeks, Roanoke College junior Erin Hanson (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's basketball Player of the Week. Hanson, who was a First Team All-ODAC pick last season, averaged 24.7 points and 13.7 rebounds in three games with the Maroons last week.

In a home win over Lynchburg, Hanson recorded career highs in both points (28) and rebounds (15). In that win, she went 13-for-17 from the field and added two assists, a block, and a steal. In a road overtime loss to Virginia Wesleyan, Hanson scored 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting and added 12 rebounds. She then helped the Maroons snap an eight-game losing streak to Randolph-Macon, scoring 28 points and adding 14 rebounds in a win over the nation's 22nd-ranked team. She went 10-for-17 from the field and added two assists and two steals. For the week, the junior shot 67.4 percent (31-for-46) from the field, 100 percent (10-for-10) from the line, and 40 percent (2-for-5) from three-point range.

Hanson and the Maroons will next be in action on Tuesday in a road contest against the Royals of Eastern Mennonite University. The Maroons will then take two weeks off before playing Adrian (MI) College on December 17th and Loras (IA) College on December 19th. Both games will be played in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
