GREENSBORO, NC--The third-ranked Roanoke College men's lacrosse team improved to 11-1 overall and ran its winning streak to seven games with a 13-2 win at Greensboro College on Wednesday afternoon in Greensboro, NC. The Maroons have won 11 of the 12 all-time meetings with the Pride, which falls to 7-5 overall on the season. Roanoke's seven-game winning streak is its longest since winning eight in a row to close out the 1997 regular season.
Roanoke freshman

That team held four consecutive opponents to a total of just six goals.
The Maroons will close out the 2005 regular season with a home game against the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon in Salem, VA. The game in Salem begins at 1:00pm on Roanoke's Alumni Field. Roanoke, which has already secured the number-one seed in the upcoming Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament, will host a semifinal game on Tuesday, April 26th. A game time and opponent for the game have yet to be determined.
