LYNCHBURG, VA--The Roanoke College field hockey team suffered a 4-0 loss at Lynchburg College on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament. The Maroons have their season come to an end with a 4-15 overall record. Lynchburg will next play Virginia Wesleyan in the semifinals of the tournament.
The Hornets jumped on the Maroons quickly in Saturday's match, scoring the eventual game-winning goal just under two minutes into the contest. The Hornets would make the score 2-0 before the first half was up and then tallied twice in the second half, including the final goal with 1:33 left.

Lindsey Paz made 10 saves in the contest, bringing her season total to 183, school record by 23 saves.
