Ryan Brittle joined the Roanoke College baseball staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2025. Brittle brings over two decades of collegiate coaching experience and a proven track record of success at multiple levels of college baseball.
Before arriving in Salem, Brittle spent 11 seasons as the head baseball coach at Ferrum College. During his tenure, he led the Panthers to conference regular-season championships in 2014 and 2016, earning Coach of the Year honors both seasons.
Prior to his time at Ferrum, Brittle served as the assistant head coach and infield instructor at Rogers State University in Oklahoma. During his four years there, the Hillcats were ranked in the NAIA Top 25 each season. His earlier coaching experience includes seven years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Radford University and two years as an assistant coach at Virginia Tech.
A Virginia native, Brittle played college ball at both Ferrum College and Virginia Tech. He was a member of the 1997 Hokies team that advanced to the NCAA Division I Regionals and the 1996 Ferrum team that competed in the NCAA Division III Regionals.
Brittle earned his bachelor’s degree in forestry from Virginia Tech and his master’s degree in education from East Central University (OK). He and his wife, Rebecca, have six children: Cooper, Ryland, Dylan, Romeo, Xander, Teagan.
