Deal ‘26 joins the RC coaching staff after volunteering as a coach last season and competing for four years with the Maroons.
Deal specialized in breaststroke and individual medley events for the Maroons, where he was a 2x ODAC champion in the 100 breaststroke and a 1x champion in the 200 breaststroke. He helped Roanoke win the 2025 ODAC Championship in the 200 Medley Relay, earning an NCAA "B" cut as part of the team.
He previously held Roanoke’s program record in the 200 IM, the ODAC Conference and Championship record in the 100 Breaststroke, and was a member of the 200 Medley Relay team that held the ODAC Conference and Championship record. During his time, he was a member of multiple school-record relay teams.
