Drew Olverson joins the RC coaching staff after completing his career at Averett University in May 2024.
Olverson's professional background includes coaching at Radford High School as their shot put coach in addition to experience in player engagement at Virginia Tech.
Olverson was a standout for the Cougars' track and field squad, competing in the shot put, weight throw, and discus events. The two time team captain stills holds the indoor shot put record at Averett with a throw of 13.96m at the 2024 ODAC Indoor Championships. Additionally, Olverson was selected as a NSCA All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year. Olverson also played football at Averett as an offensive lineman.
