Garabo joins the Maroons after wrapping up a decorated playing career at York in 2025. As a goalkeeper for the Spartans, Garabo was a three-time First Team All-American and IWLCA National Division III Goalie of the Year. She became the first Spartan to earn the IWLCA honor multiple times and the first person since 2016 to be a three-time honoree as a positional player. Garabo was also a three-time MAC Commonwealth Goalie of the Year as well as a four-time IWLCA All-Region and All-MAC Commonwealth selection. She also excelled academically, being named a College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-American in 2024.
Garabo also brings a wealth of playoff and NCAA tournament experience to Roanoke as she helped the Spartans to four MACC championships and four NCAA tournament berths. Garabo led York to two NCAA second round and two quarterfinal appearances during her career.
The New Jersey native made 94 appearances for York, including 77 starts between the pipes. Garabo compiled 4219 minutes played, 600 saves, a 7.61 goals against average, a .529 save percentage, 191 ground balls, 44 caused turnovers, and a record of 59-19 over the course of her career.
Garabo’s coaching experience includes serving as a goalie coach for Phantastix Club in the fall of 2024 and running her own individual training sessions for athletes.
She earned a Master of the Arts in Strategic Leadership and Management in 2024 and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in coaching in 2023 from York College.
