Jack Fishwick '21

Jack Fishwick '21 was elevated to head coach prior to the 2023-24 campaign after spending two seasons as an assistant for the Maroons.

Fishwick continued to elevate the Roanoke tennis programs in the 2024-25 season. Most notably, the men's team swept four teams this season which was the first time that has occurred in program history since 2006-07 season. Fishwick also helped coach Jacob Nichols to am impressive 12-6 singles record in Nichols' first season with the Maroons. The tennis squads also placed four on the CSC Academic All-District teams this season.

In his first season at the helm of the Roanoke program, Fishwick elevated the combined winning percentage of the men's and women's programs by nearly 100 points. That included taking the men's team from a 5-11 record in the 2022-23 season to a 10-9 record in the 2023-24 campaign. It was the men's team first 10 win season in 16 years and their first winning season since 2020-21.

Fishwick played all four years for the Maroons. He played number two singles and doubles positions his freshman and sophomore year before stepping up to the one singles and doubles position his junior and senior year. During his sophomore year, he was earned ODAC Player of the Week honors and during his senior year he was named ODAC Player of the Week twice. Fishwick was also named All-ODAC his final season at number one singles and doubles. 

After graduating from the North Cross School in Roanoke, he took a gap year before becoming a Maroon where he served as the assistant tennis coach for the boys' and girls' tennis teams and helped the girls' team to a VISAA Division II State Championship.

Fishwick graduated in May 2021 with a degree in Political Science

During his first year as assistant coach at Roanoke, he served as the Interim Director of Tennis at Hidden Valley Country Club.
