The short story: The top-ranked Roanoke College wrestling team took down a tough Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Friday night in impressive fashion, besting Washington & Lee University 30-7 on Senior Night.

How it happened:
*The action started at 149 pounds, and the Maroons took a 3-0 lead after a Taylor Smith decision victory.
*The Generals briefly went ahead 4-3 but three-straight Maroon wins put them up for good. Cade Parent (165) and Kyle Lee (174) won decisions and Hunter Moore (184) gave RC five points with a 20-3 technical fall win.
*Lorenzo Pellot-Vázquez had a major decision win at 197 to put Roanoke ahead 18-4.
*After W&L won the 285-pound bout, RC took the 125-pound match by forfeit.
*Jude Robson and Mark Samuel closed out the dual with 8-2 and 9-3 wins, respectively at 133 and 141.
