The Short Story:  The Roanoke College women's golf team competed opened their inaugural season this weekend at the Shenandoah University Fall Invitational at Cacapon State Park.

Inside the numbers:.
*Allyson Childs paced the Maroons, tying for 22^nd place out of 70 golfers. She shot an 83 Saturday and an 82 Sunday.
*Kendall West shot seven strokes better on day 2
*Brooke Watkins and Eleanor Flanagan rounded out the Maroon foursome.
