SALEM, Va. - Cycling head coach Shelley Olds announced Roanoke College's fall schedule on Friday morning.Â
RC is set for another year of competition in the Atlantic Collegiate Cycling Conference (ACCC) as they kick off the season with the mountain bike portion of their schedule.Â
"This fall we will field a very strong team of mountain bikers, with four incoming freshmen athletes who will complement the strengths of our returning riders perfectly," said Coach Olds. "The collegiate season will get underway in September, and we will compete with a real shot to win the conference and send a strong squad to Collegiate Nationals in Grand Junction, Colorado."Â
The Maroons are in for a busy September as they compete every weekend, traveling to the University of Virginia, Appalachian State, and Virginia Tech. They then head to Lees-McRae for the conference championships on Sep. 27-28. Roanoke rounds out this portion of their schedule with the Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships in Grand Junction, Colorado on Oct. 9-12.Â
