Men's tennis rises above Flying Squirrels in season finale

SALEM, Va. - The Roanoke College men's tennis squad ended their season on a high as they swept the Mary Baldwin Flying Squirrels 7-0 on Senior Day.

The Highlights 

  • Roanoke celebrated their lone senior, Hardt Lesko, after the match. 

  • It is the first time in over 15 years that the Maroons have swept on four separate occasions in the same season. 

  • All of the doubles teams that played in today's match have winning records in non-conference action this season. 

  • Jacob Nichols ends the season as the only Maroon in double digit singles victories with his 12 on the year. 

  • Emiliano Ramirez finishes the year at an even 9-9 with a 6-3 record in non-conference play. 

  • Jackson Wagner improved to 2-0 in singles, playing out of the No. 6 spot on the evening.
