The Short story: The Roanoke College wrestling team, ranked No. 4 this week in NCAA Division III, took down two ranked opponents in one afternoon Saturday. The Maroons bested No. 24 Stevens 28-10 before defeating the host school, No. 8 Castleton University (Vt.) 26-16.

How it happened:  
*Jude Robson won both of his matches via technical fall at 133, 18-2 and 17-2.
*Mark Samuel earned a major decision against his Stevens foe at 141 and followed up with a technical fall win against Castleton.
*Xavier Preston (174) followed the same format at Samuel, starting with a major decision in the opener vs. Stevens and earning a technical fall against Castleton.
*Lorenzo Pellot-Vazquez won his only match at 285 by pin, while Cade Parent was 1-0 with a decision win at 165. Nicholas Cook won his only match at 285 7-3 against Stevens.   

Up Next:
*Roanoke (3-0) is off until hosting Randolph College Dec. 17 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference match at 7 p.m.
