Roanoke College

One of the outstanding women performers ever at Roanoke College, Thomason also served as President of the Athletic Association in 1961-62.

From 1958-61, she led the field hockey team to some of their most successful seasons including an undefeated year in 1961 in which she was named team captain.  She was a member of the Blue Ridge Hockey All-State team in 1961.

Also starred for the women’s basketball team from 1960-62 and served as captain as a senior. 

An all-around athlete, she won the highest award for intramurals in 1961 and won second place in 1962.
