A member of the Monogram Club for two years, Crush played baseball, football, and basketball for the Maroons.
A captain of the 1947 and '48 baseball teams, Crush was a star outfielder with a .372 batting average.
After college, he continued his athletic career as a coach; first as head basketball and baseball coach in Montgomery County and then at Andrew Lewis High in Salem.
Is currently the principal at Glenvar High School in Salem.
