Roanoke College

A member of the Monogram Club, Stahlsmith starred in three varsity sports.  He played on Roanoke’s last varsity football team. 

For four years, he played guard on the basketball team and was elected team captain 1946 and ’47, when he was recognized on the All-State team.

For three years, he played shortstop on the baseball team and is rated as one of the best and most dedicated athletes.
