Roanoke College

Anderson distinguished himself on the football field playing end, halfback and quarterback; in baseball as a left fielder; as a guard on the basketball team; and on the track team.

He captained the track team and was President of the Monogram Club.  While still a student, he added coaching duties to his schedule.  He also participated in the groundbreaking ceremonies of Alumni Gymnasium.
