A star in both baseball and basketball while at Roanoke, Muse's teammates selected him captain in both sports. He is also a member of the Monogram Club.
Like so many other great Roanoke athletes, Muse distinguished himself and the College following graduation.
An attorney, he has been active in the educational system of Virginia. He has also served as a member of the Virginia State Senate. Served on the Roanoke College Board of Trustees and in 1964, Roanoke College awarded him an honorary law degree.
