Bunting was a three-sport performer starring in baseball, where he had hands like glue. 

An equally outstanding basketball player, and the most outstanding quarterback Roanoke College has ever had.

Bunting quarterbacked the team when the quarterback was the ruggedest player on the team.  "Chine" Bunting was a great runner and a tremendous blocker.
