Roanoke College

Monk played basketball for Buddy Hackman from 1960-63.

A distinguished basketball coach and athletics director, Monk coached in the Roanoke Valley schools before moving to the collegiate ranks.

While at Palmer Junior College, Monk compiled a 101-30 record.  He also served at Baptist College, the University of South Carolina, and Furman University.

Monk also spent time as the Associate Athletic Director at Virginia Tech.
